onathan D’Avirro, owner of Mahwah Automotive, recently moved to a spacious new location at 111 Spring Street in Ramsey to provide better service to his many local customers. “We needed more space to be able to service more vehicles,” Jonathan explains of the August 2010 move. “We were also able to add an alignment machine and more staff.” Although the move and the expansion were significant changes for this family-owned and operated business, Mahwah Automotive has retained its name and continues to offer top-quality service. Jonathan attended school in Mahwah and has been working on cars since he was in his teens. He was employed as a dealership mechanic at Jonathan D’Avirro, John Perez and Jay Hansen Mahwah Ford for 12 years, and is certified as a master technician by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence. In 2004, he launched Mahwah Automotive, which specializes in full-service automotive repairs of foreign and domestic vehicles and light trucks. Jonathan and his staff use the latest equipment to perform diagnostics and repairs, and Jonathan makes a point of training his mechanics to serve customers with expertise and courtesy. “I pride myself on honesty and personalized customer attention,” he adds. Watch the new Mahwah Automotive website, mahwahauto.com, which will be up and running in the near future. In the meantime, call (201) 529-1450 for an appointment and get your car humming again.

twisting the spine. The technology of the computerized instrument was developed by NASA to check for metal fatigue of the space shuttle and provided information to determine specifically which vertebrae to adjust. Dr. Evangel was featured demonstrating the Pro-Adjuster on many television news programs, including Fox TV’s “Good Day NY” since he began working with the instrument in 200l. He now has the “grandson” of the Pro-Adjuster, The Ultralign G2, which brings computerized chiropractic a quantum leap past its predecessor. The doctor also uses spinal decompression, a method that results in a vacuum within the disc that can reduce Dr. Evangel disc herniations. He advocates appropriate nutrition to support joint health and proper exercise, which he says aids in the repair of spinal discs. Dr Evangel’s decompression employs Spinal Rejuvenative Therapy that treats patients with full body vibration therapy that also increases muscle strength. Cold laser therapy is also used in treatment plans. Dr. Evangel explains that red and infrared light accelerates healing and encourages the body’s cells to burn sugar more efficiently. The doctor is a Police Defensive Tactics Instructor and holds a 7th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. He received a BA in biology, teaching certification in the sciences, and an MA in environmental studies from Montclair State University. He received his doctor of chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 1985 and has been in private practice since 1986. Dr. Evangel is located at 56 North Central Avenue, Ramsey.
