The club meets at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer at 55 Wyckoff Avenue. Workshop to address workplace success Join life coach Liz Benfanti on April 11 as she presents a workshop about how to succeed at work. This 7 p.m. program will be held at the Ramsey Public Library at 30 Wyckoff Avenue in Ramsey. Benfanti will provide tips on how to maintain strengths and learn to recognize and eliminate behaviors and thoughts that can impede success. The 90-minute workshop is free and open to all. Seniors host Candidates Forum, events On April 12, the Ramsey Seniors will host a 4 p.m. forum for the board of education candidates. Mary Ellen Fine, David Rockeller, and incumbents Richard Muti and Richard Snyder are on the ballot. This event is open to the public and attendees may bring questions for the candidates. The school board election is set for Tuesday, April 17. Meetings for the Ramsey Seniors Executive Committee have been moved to the second Wednesday of the month. Anyone interested the annual planning of activities may attend the meeting at 4 p.m. at the senior center. Spring bocce has begun. The men meet at the Ramsey Pool every Wednesday and Friday at 1 p.m. The ladies will begin their games in May. For a schedule of events, stop by the center in Finch Park. Juniors plan meeting The Junior Woman’s Club of Ramsey will meet on Thursday, April 19 at the ambulance corps building, 41 South Island Avenue, at 7:30 p.m. The club serves and supports the community through volunteering, fundraising, and social events. Woman’s Club announces events The Woman’s Club of Ramsey will hold a “Spring Fling” shopping event on April 22 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge, 24 North Franklin Turnpike. Vendors will feature many items, including crafts. Admission is free, and refreshments will be available. Proceeds will be shared with local charities. On May 19, the club will hold its Tenth Annual Heirloom Tomato Plant Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of the Masonic Lodge. Town-wide Cleanup Day scheduled The Ramsey Environmental Commission will host its annual Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Rain date: April 22.) Individuals, families, and groups are welcome to join in this civic service. Participants will meet at the Ramsey Rescue garage on Prospect Street to sign up. Municipal pool registration open Registration for Ramsey Municipal Pool’s 2012 season is now in progress. The brochure will not be mailed to residents. Fees will remain at the 2012 level. The deadline for pre-season memberships is Friday, April 20.
