Claire Tholl was a noted Bergen County historian and cartographer who spent over 30 years researching and mapping the historic homes of Bergen County, New Jersey and Rockland County, New York. When she passed away in 1995, she left a legacy of maps that are invaluable to historians and genealogists. Tholl’s work was prolific. She conducted research (continued on page 16)
