James E. Collins Jr. of Waldwick died Sept. 11. He was 84. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was a teacher with the Commack School District in Commack, Long Island for 32 years. He was a member of the New York State Teachers’ Retirement System. He was a parishioner of Church of the Nativity in Midland Park, and a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in Ridgewood. He was a former parishioner of Saint Martin of Tours in Bethpage, Long Island, where he was a member of the Rosary Society, the Legion of Mary, the Knights of Fatima, and a Pro Life Champion. He also served as a lector and Eucharistic minister, was 4th Degree Knight, and lay Franciscan at Saint Martin of Tours. He is survived by his children Peter Collins of Hawthorne, James C. Collins of Yorktown Heights, New York, Catherine V. Donohoe of Fresh Meadow, New York, and Anne Marie Stix of Waldwick, eight grandchildren, and his siblings Arthur Collins of Long Island and Rita Polanski of Tennessee. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine (nee Gillespie) Collins. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Memorial donations may be made to The Bridge to Life, Inc. She is survived by her children Joan, Lisa, and Mark, and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, and her daughter Regina. Norah I. Golad, nee Aitken, of Glen Rock, formerly of Astoria, New York, died Sept. 9. She was 82. Before retiring, she had worked for many years in the publishing industry with Hearst Magazines. She is survived by her children Deborah Ristau and Mark Golad, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, and her sister Phyllis Kull. She was predeceased by her husband Frank S. Ivan Grossman of Glen Rock died Sept. 13. He was 88. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was the president of an executive management recruiting firm. He was a founding member of the Glen Rock Jewish Center. He is survived by his wife Ruth, his children Leslie Ulak of Livingston and Dale of Saint Helena, California, two grandchildren, and his sister Judith Ritzenburg of Shaker Heights, Ohio. He was a graduate of Teaneck High School and served in the Korean War. He worked for many years as a representative in the manufacturing industry. He is survived by his children John R. Keough III of Ridgewood, Daniel G. Keough of Mendham, and Margaret K. Mansfield of Fairfax, Virginia, seven grandchildren, his former wife Margaret J. Keough of Spring Lake, his sister Martha Koob, and sister-in-law Ruth Keough. He was predeceased by his parents John R. and Martha K. Keough, and his siblings Robert, and Dorothy Bisset. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. James W. MacIsaac of Indian Wells, California, formerly of Mahwah, died Sept. 3. He was 77. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He graduated from Saint Henry’s School in Bayonne, Saint Peter’s Preparatory School, and Saint Peter’s College. He attended New York Law School and received his LLD in 1962. He became a member of the New Jersey Bar that same year and began his legal career by clerking for United States Senator John Milton. Along with his brother, he established the law firm MacIsaac & MacIsaac. He had been counsel to Marion Higgins, the first woman speaker of the General Assembly in New Jersey, and to New Jersey State Senator Garrett Hagedorn. He served as counsel to the Mahwah Township Committee, the Mahwah Board of Adjustment, the Mahwah Board of Health, and the Mahwah Utility Authority. He held many governmental and public posts, including Republican County Committeeperson, Bergen County Park Commissioner, Bergen County Planning Board member, secretary to the majority in the New Jersey General Assembly, president of the Mahwah Chamber of Commerce, and president of the Northwest Bergen Republican Club. He is survived by his wife Susan, and his children Jim, Molly, and Suann. He is also survived by five grandchildren, his siblings Peter MacIsaac, Ellen DeMaris, David MacIsaac, and Rosemary Hundt, and 19 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister May MacIsaac. Dr. Mounir Mark Mady of Franklin Lakes died Sept. 11. He was 65. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt and immigrated to the United States in 1969. He became a United States citizen on Feb. 23, 1975. He spent 44 years in the field of dentistry. He was a member of the American Dental Association, the Maywood Rotary Club, and the Hackensack Golf Club. He is survived by his wife Charlene Spadafore Mady, and his children Amanda Lobosco, Jennifer Gogarty, and John Mady. Pauline Salemo, nee Zembriski, of Mahwah died Sept. 6. She was 86. She is survived by her granddaughter Jennifer Janis and grandson-in-law Matthew, and her daughterin-law Linda Salemo. She is also survived by her siblings Stanley and Walter Zembriski, and Rose Arone. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Salemo, her son Joseph, and her siblings Theresa Mihok, and John, Ed, and Frank Zembriski. He earned a degree in chemistry, mathematics, and physics from Florida Southern College, and a master’s degree from Brown University. He was co-owner, with his brother Ernie, of Stein Wirecraft in HoHo-Kus. He is survived by his wife Jean (Cullen) Stein, his children Amy Stein, Carol Lash, Michael Stein, Lisa Bastian, and MaryAnn Torcivia, and 12 grandchildren. She was a bookkeeper for the family business, Stickna Brothers in Fair Lawn. She was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth’s R.C. Church in Wyckoff. She is survived by her husband Victor Paul Stickna, her children Gary Stickna of Franklin Lakes, Greg Stickna of Elmwood Park, and Linda Bober of Fair Lawn, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He had been a sales manager at Drake Bakeries in Elmsford, New York. He was a member of the Northwoods Men’s Club at the Rockleigh Golf Course. He was a former parishioner of Saint Joseph’s in Oradell as well as Saint Paul’s in Ramsey. He is survived by his wife Rose (nee Acampora), his children Deborah Birnbaum, Judith Roman, and Lisa Tredy, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and his sister Theresa Sinocchi. He was predeceased by his first wife Antoinette (nee Granuzzo). Arrangements were made by Volk Leber Funeral Home in Oradell.
