Contemporary Club sets Kick-Off Party The Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus will host its annual Fall Kick-Off Party on Sunday, Sept. 16. Master plan information sought Local residents are being asked for their assistance with the history element of the Ho-Ho-Kus Master Plan, which is now being updated. Seniors plan fall events Space Historian Joe Lennox will offer a presentation on Apollo 13 to the Ho-HoKus Seniors on Sept. 25. Beverages and desserts are served at noon, and program will begin at 1 p.m. Residents age 55 and up are welcome to attend. Upcoming events planned include a trip to the Platzl Brauhaus in Pomona, New York for an Oktoberfest on Oct. 24; the Fiesta on Nov. 13, and an outing to Hunterdon Hills on Dec. 3. This edition is a revision of the 1975 “Ho-Ho-Kus Hostesses” cookbook. The updated version contains favorite recipes, some of which are over 100 years old, from residents, past and present U.S. Presidents, the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn, and the Hermitage. Copies are also available at Ho-Ho-Kus Borough Hall, 333 Warren Avenue. ‘Hymn Sings’ open to public Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church invites the public to its Hymn Sing every Thursday from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the church located at 70 Sheridan Avenue in Ho-HoKus. Library trustees plan meeting The public is welcome to attend the Worth-Pinkham Memorial Library Board of Trustees’ Sept. 17 meeting. This 7:30 p.m. meeting will be held at the library, which is located at 91 Warren Avenue in Ho-Ho-Kus. Chamber to meet at studio The Ho-Ho-Kus Chamber of Commerce’s Sept. 11 meeting will be held at Haviland Photography at 22 Sheridan Avenue, Ho-Ho-Kus, at 6:15 p.m. Meetings are typically the second Tuesday evening of the month at 6:15 p.m. at the Ho-Ho-Kus Train Station, unless otherwise announced. The group is invited to the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce’s multi-chamber event at Greenhouse Golf in Waldwick on Thursday, Sept. 20. Members are encouraged to save the date, more information will follow. Car Wash announced The eighth grade class at the Ho-Ho-Kus Public School will hold a Car Wash on Saturday, Sept. 15 from noon to 4 p.m. at the school located at 70 Lloyd Road in Ho-HoKus. (Rain date: Sept. 22.) Proceeds from this event will help defray the cost of the students’ trip to Philadelphia and graduation expenses.
