September 12, 2012 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 11 Allendale The Allendale Chamber of Commerce’s Festival Day and Car Show is scheduled this year for Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. along West Allendale Avenue in Allendale. The annual event features over 100 vendor tables, two stages with live entertainment throughout the day, a petting zoo, food from local restaurants, children’s rides and games, an obstacle course, clowns and balloons, and pony rides among other attractions. Children can visit all of the attractions for just one $5 donation. A pet parade at 11 a.m. will be followed by the blessing of the animals, with pie baking contest and scarecrow contest results announced at noon. The Car Show, held in the commuter parking Festival Day & Car Show promises fun for all ages lot beyond the clock tower at the end of Allendale Avenue, features antique and classic cars and accessory vendors.
