Page 16 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • October 24, 2012 Dear Readers: Over the past 55, years the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce has grown to almost 500 members representing over 90 different communities in New Jersey and New York State. The Chamber is a vital part of the communities we serve. Members find value in the many activities and events the Chamber holds. Networking and making “connections” is a large focus at MRCC. There are business after hours, multi-chamber events, expos, and luncheons. Special events that draw a large turnout and engage the community include Meet & Greets, our Public Spirit Showcase, and Taste of the Region. Enjoyable events, such as our annual Golf Outing, dinner cruise, miniature golf, and baseball game, help raise funds for scholarships and donations to local charities. MRCC also offers various other “connections” with our guest speakers, public officials, and through our advertising, webinars, and internship programs. This year, we have also expanded our social media connections to include Twitter, Facebook, and Linked-In.
