She graduated from Lowville Academy in 1941 and from Buffalo State Teacher’s College in 1945, where she received a B.S. in education. She taught elementary school in Ilion, New York. She was a member of the Glen Rock Branch of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary Bridge Club and the Glen Rock Garden Club. She was a parishioner of Saint Anthony’s Church in Hawthorne. She is survived by her husband Bill Ashe, her children Bill Ashe Jr. of Kalispell, Montana, David Ashe of San Jose, Costa Rica, Kathy Ashe of Sea Girt, Sharon Ashe of Chester, Maureen Ashe of Southampton, New York, Janet Fina of Granite Bay, California, Laura Ashe of HoHo-Kus, and Barbara Ashe of Greenwich, Connecticut, and five grandchildren. He graduated from Penn State University with an associate degree in engineering. Before retiring in 1990, he was a senior engineering representative for Union Carbide in New York. He is survived by his wife Carol J. (nee White) Hall of Mahwah, his children Jeffrey S. Hall of Norwood, Dennis P. O’Neill of Jupiter, Florida, formerly of Glen Rock, died Oct. 8. He was 53. He was a senior optic technician of Jenoptik. He is survived by his mother Mary Catherine O’Neill, his siblings Mark, Mary Ellen, and Daniel, his brother-in-law Duncan, sister-in-law Dolores, four nieces, and a nephew. He was a graduate of Northwestern University, and was president of Sigma Nu Elizabeth Mary Ashe fraternity. He was executive vice president of Food Materials Corporation of Chicago for 29 years. He retired from his own food brokerage firm, Jac Majar and Associates of Ho-Ho-Kus. He was a parishioner of Saint Gabriel R.C. Church in Saddle River. He served as an executive committee member of The Institute of Food Technologists. He is survived by his wife Justine (nee O’Brien), his children Carol A. Post, Martha Post, Ann J. Post, Justin A. Marion Emily Raff, nee Blocher, of Dallas, Texas, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, Haworth, and Franklin Lakes, died Aug. 22. She was 88. She attended Indiana University, and graduated from Syracuse University. She later took interior design courses at Parsons School of Design. She served on the Haworth Public School Board of Education and was past president of Wyckoff Family YMCA. She served as a volunteer in many capacities. She was a member of Chi Omega sorority and Grace United Methodist Church in Wyckoff. She is survived by her sons Douglas, Donald, and Kenneth, and six grandchildren. George Reall of Castle Rock, Colorado, formerly of Sedona, Arizona and Franklin Lakes, died Sept. 23. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of both the Utah and New York State Bar associations, and a graduate of Harvard Law School and Tufts College. He spent most of his career with the National Council on Compensation Insurance. He came to NCCI from the Utah State Workman’s Compensation Fund, where he was assistant manager. In 1980, he retired from NCCI with 28 years of service, including 23 years as the head of the company. He is survived by his wife Eula, his son Gus, his daughterin-law Dawn, and two grandchildren. She was a graduate of Northwestern University. She had a career in real estate. She was a member the Million Dollar Sales Club/NJ Association of Realtors, and a member of the association’s President’s Club. She was honored by the Medallion Club/Better Homes and Garden Real Estate, earned the “Top Salesperson of the Year Award” in 1987, 1988, and 1989, and was a multiple-time recipient of the Salesperson of the Month Award for her office. She was a parishioner of the Old Stone Church in Upper Saddle River and a member of the Woman’s Club. She is survived by her sons Robert Dale Jr., John Blevins, and Richard Paul, five grandchildren, and her sister Marjorie Bagg of Dallas, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Dale Wastrom. He said the two lower bidders have only a notice of exemption from a permit, a one-page document which does not signify state approval, he said. Borough Attorney Craig Bossong said, however, that the exemption document does constitute compliance with the specifications. RVH Mulch Supply of Wyckoff was the lone bidder to take over running the borough’s leaf compost facility on the property behind the Boston Market off Wyckoff Avenue. The company was awarded that contract in June and is now in front of the Waldwick Board of Adjustment seeking a use variance and site plan approval to operate the facility. The site is not zoned for the private operation of a vegetative waste transfer station and compost sales. Department of Environmental Protection approval is also required. The borough decided to continue as in the past for this leaf season to give RVH ample opportunity to get the necessary approvals and set up its operation. The lease with RVH includes a rental payment of $1,350.36. In addition the company will transport free of charge the borough’s leaves and yard debris to an approved state facility for disposal. On Sept. 20, Officer Kyle Moore arrested a 54-yearold Ramsey resident for driving with a suspended driver’s license. The suspension was for a second DWI conviction. Officer Chris Goodell arrested a 25-year-old North Arlington resident and charged him with DWI after stopping the defendant’s vehicle on Route 17 South on Sept. 12. On Sept. 8, Sergeant Robert Woessner arrested a 44year-old Ypsilanti, Michigan resident and charged him with DWI after stopping the defendant’s vehicle on Route 17 North. Charles V.
