Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Frederick E. Muster of San Clemente, California, formerly of Ridgewood, died Sept. 30. He was 89. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a 1940 graduate of Ridgewood High School. He attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the varsity boxing team, and earned the title of Golden Gloves boxer. He earned a degree in pharmacy from the Philadelphia School of Pharmacy and Science, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. He created a memorial garden on the grounds of the Saint Andrew’s by the Sea Methodist Church in San Clemente, California in memory of his wife, Louise Maselli. He is survived by his sons Dr. Karl F. Muster, DOS of Champaign, Illinois, and Wayne C. Muster, of San Clemente, California, and two grandchildren. She was 96. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Boca Raton, and Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church in Franklin Lakes. She is survived by her daughter Mary A. Packer, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin C. Packer, and her siblings Helen McDermott and Thomas Burke. She was predeceased by her husband John. Margaret Mary “Dolly” Schell of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, died Sept. 30. She was 92. She had worked for the Charles W. Hoyt Agency in New York City in the 1950s. Later, she was a travel agent with Walker Travel of Ridgewood. She was a Grey Lady volunteer at the Valley Hospital for over 30 years. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood, and a member at Ridgewood Country Club. She is survived by her son Robert K. Schell Jr. and his wife Ronda of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband Robert K. Schell Sr., a former mayor of Ridgewood. Simpson of Midland Park, formerly of Saddle Brook, died Oct. 2. He was 84. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Before retiring, he was an accountant with Sealed Air Corporation, and The Flintkote Company. He was a member and elder of the Warren Point Presbyterian Church in Fair Lawn. He is survived by his daughter Luanne Shock of Nottingham, Pennsylvania, his brotherin-law Theodore von Wallmenich, his nephew Theo von Wallmenich, and niece Valerie Huen. Pagony Allendale Notebook Flu vaccines available Allendale offers influenza vaccines to borough residents. This service is provided free of charge to residents who are age 65 years and older. A $15 is charged to those under age 65. Vaccines will be given on Friday, Oct. 26 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at borough hall, located at 500 West Crescent Avenue in Allendale. Participants are required present their Medicare Card and any other applicable insurance cards. Those covered by a managed care plan (HMO) are requested to see their managed care provider for the immunization. The vaccines will be given first to those who are age 65 and over and those who are under 65 and have a chronic illness. The vaccine will not be given to anyone who is allergic to eggs or any component of the influenza vaccine, or those who have had a previous allergic reaction. Anyone who has an acute respiratory infection, other infectious condition, or who is currently receiving Coumadin or Theophylline/ Slor-bid/Theodur should consult his or her personal physician or a local hospital clinic before requesting the flu vaccine.
