The members of the Allendale Chamber of Commerce extend an invitation to all Allendale residents to attend the Annual Chamber Holiday Walk on Friday, Dec. 7 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. During this event, West Allendale Avenue will be closed off beginning at 6:30 p.m. and transformed from a suburban main street into a festive promenade area brimming with holiday family activities. The evening will begin at the Lighting of the Tree in front of the Allendale Bar and Grill at 7 p.m. Afterward, local businesses and civic organizations

will offer holiday cheer to all families strolling along West Allendale Avenue. Holiday music will be provided by school choruses. Local residents will also be singing and playing holiday music throughout the evening. Santa Claus will arrive at 7:15 p.m. He will be escorted by the Allendale Fire Department and Allendale Ambulance Corps to the Bank of America branch on Allendale Avenue. He will remain there until 9 p.m., greeting children, hearing their requests, and giving out candy canes contributed by the Allendale Bar and Grill
and the Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to seeing Allendale residents start off the holiday season,” said Walk Chairman William Ford, branch manager of Bank of America. Bank of America will have a drop-off bin available for donations of unwrapped new toys for the Toys for Tots program. Free parking for the Allendale Holiday Walk will be available in the New Jersey Transit parking lot across from the Allendale Train Station and next to the A&P Shopping Center.
