November 21, 2012 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 13 Michele Colettis, the right hand woman – though she is left-handed – to Waldwick Borough Clerk Paula Jaegge, will be retiring at year’s end. “She is a dedicated and hard working person who gives her all to the residents of Waldwick. She has a great love for her job and for Waldwick,” said Mayor Tom Giordano. “We wish Michele good luck, and may she enjoy her retirement that is well deserved.” Due to technological changes, Colettis has performed Michele Colettis to retire from clerk’s office diversified duties in the 26 years she has been working for the borough. She started taking shorthand before the advent of computers and is now Jaegge’s assistant with the official title of senior clerk/transcriber. “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for the borough; however, I have reached the ‘golden year’ that I can collect my Social Security and enjoy staying home,” Colettis said. “I will not be leaving Waldwick, as this is my home and I have many friends here. I will be look- ing to spread my wings and participate in activities that I enjoy, including travel and family time.” She said she also enjoys the theater and hopes to get to the city more often for Wednesday matinees and spend more time with friends, as she is the last of her group to retire. Borough Administrator Gary Kratz said the mayor and council will be discussing how best to replace her position as part of the budgetary process for 2013.
