Letter from the President: We truly hope you have recovered from Hurricane Sandy. We know that so many of our family, friends, and colleagues have suffered through weeks with no power, heat, or Internet and many have sustained great damage to their homes and businesses. We hope you made it through and that this letter finds you safe and sound. Life is full of challenges, and each one brings change and reminds us of our role in society. There is no better time than now to rebuild and get strong. The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce is constantly striving to increase its visibility in the community and the organizations it supports. If you haven’t already joined the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce, we invite you to check it out. We are an “open” Chamber. We encourage businesses from other towns to join our organization. Networking is the key to growing your business, and now -- more than ever -- local businesses are joining forces to prove just that. Power in numbers has enabled us to grow individually, and as a group. Our general meetings take place the third Wednesday
of each month at 8:30 a.m. Our complimentary breakfast meetings allow us to share ideas about our businesses and related events. The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce continues to make great strides within the community we serve. As our membership grows, so do the events we produce. Please mark your calendar for the Sixth Annual 5K Run/1 Mile Walk scheduled for Sunday, April 28, 2013. This event attracts runners and walkers from all over Bergen County and beyond. We hope you can join us for this wonderful community gathering. As a Chamber of Commerce, our main goal is to support local business. If you have a business, or know someone who does, tell them about us. Please visit our newly designed website to sign up at any time: www.waldwickchamber.com. The Waldwick Chamber of Commerce continues to implement new programs and exciting events throughout the year. Please let us know what your business is doing so we can help you promote it for you. What one business can do is wonderful, but what we can do collectively is amazing! Remember: Small Business Saturday is Nov. 24. The heart of the community stays strong when you shop locally! We hope you have a blessed and safe holiday season. With warmest & best regards, Christine Figliuolo, President Waldwick Chamber of Commerce
