Chamber plans meeting The Allendale Chamber of Commerce will hold a noon luncheon meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Allendale Community for Mature Living, 85 Harreton Road in Allendale. Shop to hold special sale The Clothes Line Thrift Shop will hold a Customer Appreciation Sale on Nov. 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shop contains a wide array of clothing for adults and children, handbags, shoes, household goods, and children’s toys and books. Donations of new or gently used items are accepted on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays during regular hours. The Clothes Line Thrift Shop is located in the Archer United Methodist Church at 37 East Allendale Avenue in Allendale. Goodyear to discuss color theory The Bergen Chapter of The Embroiderers’ Guild of America will meet on Monday, Nov. 12 in the Red Barn at Guardian Angel Church, 320 Franklin Turnpike in Allendale. The 9:30 a.m. meeting will feature guest speaker Nancy Goodyear, who will discuss color theory. The public is welcome to attend. Fell House Teas announced Two Afternoon Teas will be held at the John Fell House Tea Room, which is located within the historic home at 475 Franklin Turnpike in Allendale. A Thanksgiving Tea is planned for Saturday, Nov. 17. The cost is $40 per person and attendees must RSVP by Nov. 9. The Holiday Tea is set for Tuesday, Dec. 4. The cost to attend is $45 and reservations must be made by Nov. 27. Reservations are a must as space is limited. She received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester and a master’s of business administration from Case Reserve Western University in Cleveland, Ohio.
