May 30, 2012 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 11 Waldwick Golf and networking are perfect together Greenhouse Golf hosted the recent meeting of the Waldwick Chamber of Commerce at its new facility on Hopper Avenue, which was attended by nearly 50 members. Pictured practicing their stroke are from left, members Joe Salvi of Waldwick Auto Body, Jim Zumbano of Plaza Jewelers, Michele Calise of Pascack Community Bank and Chamber President Christine Figliuolo of Creations by Christine Events, as the facility’s golf pro, Cory Stelick, pictured at right, looks on. Members were also able to view a recap of the 5K Run on the Greenhouse Golf’s giant screen and to tour and use the new facility. Greenhouse golf features 10 of the most accurate commercially available official PGA golf simulators, which provide a natural and efficient way to play golf, rain or shine; an 18-hole dynamic theme park-like miniature golf course, two putting greens, versatile party and meeting space, golf instruction in the Carl Rabito Academy at Greenhouse Golf, summer camps, a café, and a professional staff. The Borough of Waldwick has decided to offer for sale a lot it owns at 127 Lincoln Place and is advertising for bids on the parcel. The offer is being made to the contiguous property owners but will be sold to the highest bidder. Measuring only 25 by 100 ft., the lot is much smaller than a building lot and is being offered at a minimum bid price of $5,000. Bids will be taken once the ordinance authorizing the sale is approved in mid-June. The lot is only to be added to a contiguous lot with an existing structure, and the lot line will be eliminated once it is purchased, according to Borough Administrator Gary Kratz. The parcel may remain in its natural state or may be landscaped or may be used to expand the pre-existing principal home. Taxes for 2012 will have to be paid pro rated from the date of closing. The borough has other small parcels it is considering selling, but no one has shown an interest in purchasing them to date. Two property owners have indicated interest in another small lot, but the borough is trying to determine who has title to it. Small lot for sale
