The Building Officials Association of New Jersey named Scorzelli 2012 Building Inspector of the Year. The announcement came in a recent letter from John A. Delesandro, supervisor of licensing and education for the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. “He was chosen for his outstanding contributions in the areas of code enforcement and building inspection,” Delesandro said of Scorzelli. “We feel this is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a code official. I’m sure you and your municipality are as proud of his accomplishments as we are.” Scorzelli will be honored by the association and by the DCA at a May 10 awards luncheon held during the Building Safety Conference in Atlantic City. Pattman was recognized for his successful completion of the New Jersey Alternate Recycling Certification Series. This program, which is sponsored by Rutgers University, included a series of four workshops held in March.
