He said he had reached out to the Tamaron attorney before Christmas to see if a compromise could be reached, but had not received a response until recently. He asked the council to have the zoning officer resolve the issue. Borough Attorney Craig Bossong said, however, that in order to determine if there was, in fact, a violation, a certified survey of the site would have to be obtained. It could not be guaranteed that the markers are located on the right spot, he said. “If painting and screening will resolve the issue, it would be easier than getting a survey,” Bossong said. “But if it is not resolved, you need a survey.” He said he would give Tamaron officials two weeks to resolve the matter. According to borough officials, the dumpster had been on the same location for quite some time, but Bonicos’ objection arose when a white fence was erected recently. “It’s a big white elephant,” Bonicos said. “If you can’t paint the plastic, put up a stockade fence.” Mayor Tom Giordano asked the borough administrator to reach out to Tamaron to “make sure everyone is on the same page.”
