Dear Readers: With the summer season now upon us, the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce would like to tell you about some new and exciting happenings that are occurring in our organization. As part of our “Shop Local” initiative, the Chamber has added printable coupons from various vendors on our revamped website, www.wyckoffchamber.com. Please visit us here often for new monthly discounts and to find information about local shopping and professional services. It is vital to our community to keep commerce alive and well right here in our town. The Wyckoff Chamber is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for over 70 years. Our goals are still the same. We represent and promote local commerce and the community we live in so both can flourish. The Chamber has also recently teamed up with the Wyckoff Environmental Commission to promote, encourage, and reward “green” business practices and encourage residents to support our local businesses. We already sponsor community-wide events like the annual “Team Up to Tidy Up” and the Annual Fishing Derby. These are just some of the successful programs in place. The Chamber realizes that this is not only being environ-
mentally responsible, but is beneficial to all residents alike. The Chamber also sponsored the first Chili Cook-off at Wyckoff Day last Saturday. This was an exciting and enjoyable event for everyone, and is certain to become an annual tradition. All proceeds benefited the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department and ambulance organizations. They rely on donations to provide residents with their outstanding services and to keep their equipment updated. We wish to say thank you to all who participated and made this a successful event. The Wyckoff Chamber is dedicated to supporting local commerce and vital organizations within the community in order to keep Wyckoff the unique town it is. Please try to patronize local businesses. They play an important role in the foundation of our town by contributing time and effort, and by donating to various causes that keep our town a great place to come home to. Please feel free to contact us with any ideas or questions you may have at wyckoffchamber.com. Enjoy your summer! Jay Vidockler, President Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce
