He was a councilman in Waldwick for 13 years and served as council president. He was a past member of the Waldwick Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and was a member and past president of the Lions Club. He coached for the Waldwick Baseball Association, Junior Football League, and Waldwick Soccer Association. He chaired many Waldwick Graduation Balls and was a member of the Twinbrook Duffers. He is survived by his wife Janet; his children Arthur Scot, David, and Robert, all of Waldwick, and Susan Galdamez of Norwood; 10 grandchildren; and his brother Richard Barthold of New York. Thomas Lynn Bryan of Wyckoff, formerly of Ridgewood, died July 14. He was 77. He was a graduate of the University of Kansas, and Columbia Law School. He began a long career with the law firm of Willkie Farr and Gallagher in New York. His legal practice focused on corporate reorganizations and he was recognized as an expert in corporate finance. He was a frequent speaker and writer on corporate finance and was involved in many high profile acquisitions. After retiring from the legal practice, he taught a corporate finance course at Stetson University’s law school. He was a parishioner and elected member of the vestry of Christ Episcopal Church in Ridgewood. He was a benefactor and former trustee of The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus. He was a member of the Upper Ridgewood Tennis Club. He is survived by his wife Virginia Cooper Bryan; his children Victoria Bryan Hague of Warwick, New York and Douglas Bryan of Atlanta, Georgia; his stepchildren Cynthia Kraft Spatola of Wayne, John Kraft of Ridgewood, and James Kraft of Tenafly; and 10 grandchildren. D’Ercole of Bowdon, Georgia, formerly of Waldwick and Ocklawaha, Florida, died July 13. He was 79. He was a stone mason and builder for over 30 years, after which he was employed with the Waldwick Board of Education for 20 years. He was a ham radio operator and founder of the 240 DX Group. He was a New Jersey State Champion skeet shooter. He is survived by his children Anthony D’Ercole of Acworth, Georgia and Stephen D’Ercole of Friendswood, Texas, five grandchildren, and his siblings Yolanda Tolisano, Edith Coveney, Joseph D’Ercole, and Silivio D’Ercole. He was predeceased by his wife Ginger Blom D’Ercole, his parents Luigi and Anna D’Ercole, his brothers Renata, Raymond, Frederick, and Robert, and his sister Yolanda D’Ercole. Stella S. Gennaro, nee Baron, of Glen Rock died July 19. She was 97. Before retiring, she was employed by Eastman Kodak in Fair Lawn for 26 years. She was a parishioner of Saint Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock and a member of its Association of Mature Parishioners. She was a member of the Glen Rock Seniors and the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her children Andrew Gennaro and Marilyn Ingulli, six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Angelo Gennaro, and her daughter Virginia James. Dorothea K. “Dottie” Hansen, of Westwood, formerly of Ridgewood, Saddle River and Mahwah, died July 15. She was 88. She graduated from Syracuse University where she was the first president of the school’s Delta Delta Delta sorority and remained an active member throughout her life. After college, she taught home economics in Auburn, New York. She had worked at Tice’s Farms in Woodcliff Lake. She is survived by her sons John C. Hansen of Burke, Virginia, Peter R. She is survived by her children Susan Piscitello-Pall and Vincent, two grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and her sister Delphine S. Fernandez. Reverend Ronald Angelus Stanley, O.P., of Midland Park died July 14. He was 72. He was in residence at the Church of the Nativity in Midland Park for the past nine years. Born and raised in New York, he was the first child and only son of James Edward and Jennie (nee Masciale) Stanley. Educated in the public school systems in Queens and on Long Island, he enrolled at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. He entered the novitiate of the Dominican Friars of the Province of Saint Joseph in 1960, and was ordained a priest at Saint Dominic’s Church in Washington, D.C., by Cardinal Sheehan of Baltimore on June 8, 1967. In addition to his philosophical and theological studies, he received a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University and spent many years working with disadvantaged and institutionalized youth. Having studied Spanish in Puerto Rico, he worked closely with the Hispanic community both here and in the Caribbean. For over 20 years in his work as a campus minister, both in New Jersey and New York, he led college students on mission trips to the Dominican Republic for community service, returning from his last trip only a week prior to his passing. His last assignment was as campus minister at Dominican College in Blauvelt, New York. He is survived by his sisters Carol Saccio of Jackson and Diane Gioia Squassoni of Waretown, his nephew Jonathan Lopez of Maryland, and his brother-in-law Andrew Squassoni. Catherine Tchinnis of Ramsey died June 20. She was 93. For over 25 years, she was a home health aide and was honored for her service by the Visiting Homemaker Home Health Aide Service of Bergen County. She performed with a variety of singing groups and church choirs. She is survived by her daughter Angel Chiappa and son-in-law Preston of Cupertino, California and by her daughter Andrea DeVinney of Ramsey. She is also survived by five grandchildren.
