Marian Coppa of Waldwick died July 5. She was 76. She had been a telephone operator with Bell Atlantic Telephone. She was a parishioner of Saint Luke’s R.C. Church in Ho-Ho-Kus. She is survived by her daughters Donna Lee Cordes of Hillsdale and Michelle Magrino of Cresskill, five grandchildren, and her siblings Michael La Corte of Clifton, Charles La Corte of Florida, and Josephine Swan of Pennsylvania. Church in Ho-Ho-Kus, where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She was active in the Rosary Society, Senior Lucans, and the Parish Finance Committee. She was a volunteer with the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She is survived by her children Regina F. McNamara, William J., Diane M. Bruce Freitag III of Burlington, Vermont, formerly of Wanaque, Ringwood, Ho-Ho-Kus, Maywood, and Jersey City, died June 15. He was 82. He was a U.S. veteran of the Korean War. He was a graduate of Lawrenceville School Class of 1948, Brown University Class of 1952, and Fordham Law School Class of 1955. He was a member of both the New Jersey and New York bar associations. In addition to his legal practice, he served as a member of the board of directors and chairman of the Audit Committee of Thor Energy Resources, Inc., a director of Tucker Drilling Co., chairman and CEO of Miracle Pet Products, and commissioner of the Borough of Maywood. He is survived by his children Virginia Kichura of Underhill, Vermont and Geoffrey Freitag of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and two grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Virginia Gay Loeffler. He is survived by his sisters Karen Thierry of Cold Brook, New York, Patricia Carroll of North Greenbush, New York, and Cathleen Bellisario of East Greenbush, New York, nieces and nephews, a grand-niece and nephew, and his former spouse Leigh Warren. He was accepted into BMW’s Service Technician Education Program, which he completed with honors, and became an associate in the paint and body repair department with BMW’s facility. During the past two years, he was a body and paint technical business specialist at BMW of North America in Woodcliff Lakes. He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann, his daughter Regina, his parents William E. and Allene (Peery) Reiter, and his sisters Jeanette Gartner and Brenda Reiter. Valich of Midland Park died July 10. She was 71. She had been a hairdresser for over 54 years and an Avon representative for over 50 years.
