Page 16 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • February 15, 2012 Obituaries Dr. Clarence Maurice Calman of Glen Rock died Feb. 4. He was 88. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an oral surgeon who owned a practice in Washington Heights after assuming the office of his father, Dr. Maurice Samuel Calman, who was also an oral surgeon. He was a lifetime member of the American Association of Oral and Maxilofacial Surgeons, a clinical professor of oral and maxilofacial surgery at New York University, and attending oral surgeon at both Refuah Health Center in New Square, New York and the Institute for Family Health’s Walton Family Health Center in the Bronx until his retirement a few years ago. His career included serving on the faculty at Mount Sinai Hospital, at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, and at NYU. In 2003, he became one of the most senior dentists ever inducted into OKU, the dental honor society. He was a member of Temple Israel in Ridgewood. He is survived by his wife Sonja, his children Dr. Neil Calman of Scarsdale, New York, Debra Enchelmeyer of Portland, Oregon, Karen Petrillo of Paramus, Julie Herink of Oakland, and Marc Andrew Calman of Ringwood, and 13 grandchildren. Deming of Mahwah died Jan. 30. He was 73. He operated his business, John Deming Welding, for 45 years. He was a 51-year member of Mahwah Fire Co. #1 and served as assistant chief. He was also a member of Mahwah Ambulance and Rescue Squad Co. #1. He is survived by his wife Frances (nee Monroe), his sons John and David, his daughter-in-law Stephanie, nine grandchildren, one greatgrandchild, and his siblings Austin Jay, Laura, and Jane. Born in Dublin, Ireland, she was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and H.I.L.T., both of Ridgewood. She is survived by her husband J. Charles Dunlop of Ridgewood, her children Lynne Moran of Allendale and Keith Dunlop of Boca Raton, Florida, and four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Craig Dunlop. Fiasconaro of Oradell, formerly of Ridgewood, Clarence Maurice Calman, DDS died Feb. 7. She was 53. She is survived by her mother Maureen Fiasconaro (nee Davey), her siblings Brian Fiasconaro, Pat Fiasconaro, and Daniel Fiasconaro, and her nephew and niece Daniel and Megan Fiasconaro. He was a structural steel worker and worked for Erie Lackawanna/ Conrail/NJ Transit as an engine prep. He was a member of the VFW. He served as a trustee of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahwah. He is survived by his son James of Ramsey, his brother George of Mahwah, and five nieces and nephews. Menz of Mahwah died Feb. 1. He was 86. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife Joanne (nee Garey), his children Mary Ellen Dronitsky of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Patti Levy of Oakland, and Jean Naylor of Raritan, two grandchildren, and his siblings Pauline Shaheen, Lois Thorpe, Dean Menz, and Kenneth Menz. She was born and raised in Vienna, and received her M.D. from the University of Vienna before escaping the Nazi occupation in 1938. She served on the staff of Hillsdale Hospital - Long Island Medical Jewish Center and main- Jill Ann Imperatore tained a private psychoanalysis practice from her home in Jamaica, Queens. She later joined the staff of Bergen Pines Medical Center. She was a member of Temple Beth Rishon in Wyckoff and celebrated her Bat Mitzvah at the age of 80. She is survived by her children Kenneth and June, and her grandchildren Jessica, Natalie, and Aviva. She was predeceased by her husband Ilbert Stahl. Dajad “Dodge” Terlemezian Jr. of Ridgewood, formerly of Waldwick, died Jan. 29. He graduated from Ramsey High School and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He played numerous instruments, but excelled on the tenor sax. He traveled with the Woody Herman Orchestra, and had an opportunity to sit in for an ailing sax player with the Count Basie Orchestra. He is survived by his wife Michelle, and many cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents Dajad Terlemezian and Arpine Terlemezian, and his siblings Vanig, Aram, Anahid, and Alice. Arrangements were made by Community Funeral Home in Passaic.
