Taylor Wolf, Kristin Garbarini, and Jacqueline Inserra arranged for last week’s visit from New Jersey State Trooper Sergeant Brian Miller and Donna Setaro, who lost her son to a distracted driver. The three event organizers are involved in DECA, a marketing and business club. “For our DECA Chapter Project, we decided to do a public relations campaign on texting while driving,” Garbarini explained. “Since many students at our school are getting their permits or licenses, it is imperative that they are aware of the dangers of various types of distracted driving. Our slogan and theme of our project is focused around the idea of ‘Get the msg?’ Our main goal for this campaign is to get 1,000 people to commit never to text and drive.” So far, Garbarini said, she and her friends have participated in Allendale Day, a community celebration, where
