December 5, 2012 THE VILLADOM TIMES III • Page 7 Dear Readers: On behalf of all of our members, Happy Holidays and thank you for showing support for the Ho-Ho-Kus Chamber of Commerce over the past year. Our first annual “Taste of Ho-Ho-Kus” this past June was a tremendous success. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to decorate the downtown for the holidays, co-sponsor Movie Night, and donate A Letter from the President equipment to the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Ambulance Corps. We are working on a number of items for next year, including a beautification project, our second “Taste” event, a scholarship for a graduating high school senior and, with your support, a more enlightening December decoration display. If you would like to know about what we are doing on a regular basis, “like” us on Facebook at www.face- The Ho-Ho-Kus Chamber of Commerce will host its Holiday Party at Kevin’s Thyme, 614 North Maple Avenue, on Dec. 11. The group will gather from 6 to 9 p.m. Those who attend are asked to bring a favorite holiday dish and beverage. The Chamber will provide soft drinks, snacks, Chamber sets Holiday Party book.com/HHKChamberofCommerce. This page also has great deals posted from our members. I am sure you are aware you can buy fresh baked goods and flowers, a bottle of wine, clothing, and items for decorating your home here in Ho-Ho-Kus. Do you need to have your hair cut and styled or get the car cleaned and tuned up? Maybe you just want to enjoy a great meal. Ho-Ho-Kus offers residents easy access to these services as well. You don’t need to drive far to see a doctor, dentist, pharmacist, fitness/dance instructor, banker, or real estate broker, either. Thanks to you, many of our merchants have been in business for decades. With your continued support, others will soon join them. This holiday season, we invite you to save time and gas. Come to your downtown shopping and dining district. Stroll the sidewalks. Stop in that one place you’ve been talking about for a while now. Invite your family and friends to join you. These small business owners are also your neighbors and would enjoy saying hello. Ho-Ho-Kus for the Holidays: Make it a tradition. Have a safe and enjoyable season, and best wishes for a successful 2013! Steven Sager, President Ho-Ho-Kus Chamber of Commerce and hors d’oeuvres. RSVP by Dec. 5 to Kelly at (201) 4971229 or kvelaquez@oritani.com. Please include your business name and the number of guests. Each Chamber member may bring two guests at no cost. Additional guests are welcome at $10 each.
