For high school girls playing club volleyball, the stage doesn’t get any bigger than USA Volleyball’s Junior National Championships, where only the very best teams in the country qualify to play. This year, the tournament was held in Columbus, Ohio in July. The DIGS 16 Red Club Volleyball team, comprised of high school students from northern New Jersey, qualified for their first national championship tournament by finishing the regular season as one of the top two of the 96 volleyball teams in the region. At the National Championships, the DIGS 16 Red Team played in the American Division, which consisted of 48 teams from across the nation. The DIGS 16 Red Team entered the tournament seeded 38th and finished ranked 31st in their first major national championship for USA Volleyball.
