He graduated from Hofstra University and received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He was an underwriter in the insurance industry and a coach for Little League teams. He is survived by his children Elizabeth Tullo, Christopher, and Victoria, and his brothers Paul and Michael Billeter. He was predeceased by his wife Cecilia. She had worked as a proofreader, a dental assistant, a reservationist for Airbrook Limousine, and recently as a school lunch aide. She was a member of Pastor Joe Catanese’s Abundant Life Worship Center, where she was a member of the choir. She is survived by her children John P. Carfi, Marilyn Carfi, Barbara Ann Petrucelli, and Donna Lynn Dacunto, seven grandchildren, two greatgrandsons, and her siblings Carlo Imparato and Delores Carl Billeter Blair. Fletcher Creamer Sr. of Park Ridge and Spring Lake, formerly of Saddle River, died March 30. He was 85. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was chairman of J. Fletcher Creamer & Son., Inc., and had many business affiliations including past director of Commerce & Industry Association of NJ and director of the New Jersey Alliance for Action. He was a member and former chief of the Fort Lee Fire Department, director of the Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce, finance chairman of Bergen County under Governor Tom Kean, a member of the Board of Governors of Hackensack University Medical Center, commissioner of Hackensack Meadowlands Development, commissioner of the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, honorary member of Bergen County Police Chief’s Association, founding member and director of the 200 Club of Bergen County, finance chairman and director of DARE New Jersey, president and charter member of Hudson Tuna Club, charter member of Palisades Park/Fort Lee No. 2475 BPOE, life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2342, member of the American Legion Post and the Fort Lee Athletic Club, and chairman of the Holiday Beagle Club. He received many awards and honors, including Man of the Year from the Bergen County Boy Scouts of America, the De La Salle Award from Paramus Catholic Boys High School, CYO Big Guy of the Year, First Honoree of the 200 Club of Bergen County, Man of the Year from the Fort Lee Chamber of Commerce, Man of the Year from the Boat Jumpers, and Man of the Year from DARE. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Foundation for Free Enterprise and inducted into the Construction Hall of Fame of the Utility and Transportation Contractors Association. He is survived by his children Fletch Jr. of Wyckoff, Glenn of Saddle River, and Dale of Ramsey, 10 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Merle Gustavson, nee Larsen, of Allendale, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights, died April 2. She was 80. Before retiring in 1990, she was a manager with Home Heating in Glen Rock. She was a recipient of the President Roosevelt Award for Kindness to Animals. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saddle River. She is survived by her children Glenn Clayton Gustavson of Pennsylvania, Keith Jeffery Gustavson of Missouri, and Lori Foose of Warwick, New York, her granddaughter Alexandra Jackson, and her friend of Juan Lopez of Middletown, New York. Before retiring, she was a teacher for the New York City Board of Education. She is survived by her daughter Janie Coluccio of Ho-Ho-Kus, and her grandchildren Frank of Brooklyn, New York and Lauren of HoHo-Kus. Schoof, nee Beattie, of Waldwick, formerly of Clifton and Wyckoff, died March 30. She was 100. Before retiring, she worked as the treasurer for the New York firm that built the Empire State Building. She is survived by her brother Matthew Beattie of Delaware; her niece Mae Remer of Clifton; and her nephews Joseph Putz of Hawthorne, Dennis Beattie of Maryland, Alan Beattie of Delaware, and Charles Schoof of North Carolina. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Hebner of Wyckoff, her granddaughters Julia and Rachel Hebner, and her sister Marilyn Pearce of Duncanville, Texas. She was predeceased by her husband James S. Church in Wyckoff, where she sang in the choir and had been a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She was a former member of Church of the Nativity in Midland Park. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Samuel Elmer “Woody” Wood.
