Bereavement support groups available Saint Elizabeth’s Church in Wyckoff will host two bereavement support groups for individuals who have experienced a loss at least three months ago. The groups will meet for eight consecutive Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning Oct. 2. The meetings will be held in the Amadeus Room on the second floor of the church’s parish center located at 700 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff. The sessions, which are open to men and women of all faiths, will be guided by trained, experienced leaders who have also lost loved ones. Advance registration is requested. Club hosts Wine and Cheese Soiree The Saddle River Valley Residents Club will host its annual Wine and Cheese Soiree on Saturday, Oct. 6. Legacy of ‘Declaration’ to be examined The Hermitage Roundtable will begin the 2012-13 season with a close look at the legacy of the Declaration of Independence. This program will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 26 at the Hermitage, 335 North Franklin Turnpike in Ho-Ho-Kus. Thorny Lockwood, a descendant of one of the Declaration’s signers, will share the impact of this famed document through time and around the world. Thomas Jefferson predicted in 1826 that the legacy of the Declaration would be freedom in the world.
