He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He was a marine engine mechanic, outboard motor parts distribution manager, and industrial machine designer/ mechanic. He is survived by his children Carl, Victoria, Marylouise, Sandra, William, Gerard, Ann Marie, and Marjorie, 19 grandchildren, and two great-grandsons. He was predeceased by his wife Marie Terese. She graduated from Ridgewood High School in 1970, and was a clerk at the Bergen County Court House in Hackensack for over 30 years. She is survived by her mother Carol (Fitz Gerald) of Ridgewood, her siblings Suzanne E. Conklin, Graham D. Conklin, and David K. Conklin, her niece Katie, and nephews Graham and Tim. He attended Saint Catharine’s School and Bergen Catholic High School, and was a graduate of Wagner College. He was director of marketing for the ISIS Corp. in Oakland for the past 16 years. He was president of Lake Winona Civic Association in Lake Hopatcong. He was a supporter of several charities, notably DonateA. He is survived by his wife Alison (nee Meier) of Lake Hopatcong, his parents Andrew and Patricia Lohr Sr. of Glen Rock, and his siblings Donna Cafone of Ridgewood, Andrew Lohr Jr. of Glen Rock, Nancy McGohey of Ridgewood, and William Lohr of Glen Rock, and 11 nieces and nephews. Merritt of New Smyrna Beach Florida, formerly of Ridgewood, died Sept. 26. She was 83. She was a member and volunteer at West Side Presbyterian Church, volunteered at the American Red Cross, and was a former Carl William Brand employee of The Ridgewood News. She is survived by her children Kathleen Romagnoli, Robert Merritt, Karyl Lonolijoe, and Kimberly Pipines, five grandchildren, and her sisters Myrna Tucker and Irene Mc Kenzie. He was 56. He was born in Scotland and came to the United States in 1993. He was a sales director with NTT Data in Boston, Massachusetts. He is survived by his wife Maria Miller, his son Sean Miller, his father Patrick Miller, his brother Keith Miller, and his uncle Gerald McConnell, all of whom reside in Scotland. Muster of San Clemente, California, formerly of Ridgewood, died Sept. 30. He was 89. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a 1940 graduate of Ridgewood High School. He attended the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was a member of the varsity boxing team, and earned the title of Golden Gloves boxer. He earned a degree in pharmacy from the Philadelphia School of Pharmacy and Science, and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. He created a memorial garden on the grounds of the Saint Andrew’s by the Sea Methodist Church in San Clemente, California in memory of his wife, Louise Maselli. He is survived by his sons Dr. Karl F. Muster, DOS of Champaign, Illinois, and Wayne C. Muster, of San Clemente, California, and two grandchildren. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. He had worked at Singer-Kearfott in Little Falls. He is survived by his wife Eileen (nee McQuillan), his daughter Nancy Nardelli of Ridgewood, three grandchildren, and his cousin of Klara Roman of Miami, Florida. Hoyt Agency in New York City in the Kenneth Miller 1950s. Later, she was a travel agent with Walker Travel of Ridgewood. She was a Grey Lady volunteer at the Valley Hospital for over 30 years. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Ridgewood, and a member at Ridgewood Country Club. She is survived by her son Robert K. Schell Jr. and his wife Ronda of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. She was predeceased by her husband Robert K. Schell Sr., a former mayor of Ridgewood. Schmitt of Glen Rock died Oct. 1. He is survived by his wife Dianne, his children Christopher and Jennifer, his son-in-law Frank, his granddaughter Emma, and his mother Ingeborg. He was 97. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine veteran of WWII. After leaving the Merchant Marines, he formed his first company, Tucci Bros. Construction, with his brother Joseph. He subsequently established Forti Builders, Plane Construction, and Denum Realty. He was an honorary member of the New Milford Elks. He is survived by his wife Mary Passaretti Tucci of Ridgewood, his daughters Norvell Shaw of Newfoundland, Pennsylvania and Elaine Sinatra of Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and his sister Gloria Unterweiser. Hermine Wernikowski of Wyckoff, formerly of Hawthorne and Poughkeepsie, New York, died Sept. 28. She was born in Vienna, Austria. She was a member of the Advent Lutheran Church in Wyckoff and a former member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Poughkeepsie, New York, where she established and coordinated “The Young at Heart Program.” She is survived by her daughters Maria Macfarlan, Juliana, Heidi Hample, and Susan Collins, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her sister Inge Hagenaur.
