Fall enrichment classes offered to village youth

Office hours at the village’s recreation department are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more details or for special accommodations call (201) 670-5560. Happy Feet will meet on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. beginning Nov. 14. This class is open to children ages three through five. Youngsters will receive an introduction to basic ballet positions and will experience thematic movement exploration. The cost is $40 for the fourweek session. Formal dance attire is not required. Chinese classes for children ages three and four will meet on Mondays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. beginning Nov. 19. Students will learn to speak Chinese in an immersion environment filled with age-appropriate action games, visual aids, and vocabulary. The fee is $125 for the five-week session. A materials fee of $29.95 payable to the Language Workshop for Children is required for new students. Children ages three through five are invited to attend Mini Doodler art class with Abrakadoodle on Wednesdays from
1:30 to 2:15 p.m. beginning Nov. 14. This mixed media class focuses on fun while building self-confidence and freedom of expression. The fee is $110 for the six-week session and all materials are included. Drawing will be offered to children in grades two through six on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. beginning Nov. 14. Students will work at their own level using drawing pencils and pastels. The fee for five sessions is $50. Students are required to bring their own materials. Explore Science: Physics will be offered to children in kindergarten through grade three on Mondays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. beginning Nov. 19. Children will experiment with the forces that make the world move when they make their own flashlights and robot puff mobiles. The fee is $85 for five classes and all materials are provided. A Chinese Language Workshop for children in kindergarten through grade three will be offered on Mondays beginning Nov. 19. The class will be held from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. The immersion environment will feature age appropriate games, visual aids, vocabulary building songs, and more. The fee is $120 for five sessions. A materials fee of $29.95 payable to the Language Workshop for Children is required for new students.
