T-Mobile cellular tower hearing put on hold
by John Koster The Ridgewood Board of Adjustment’s hearing for a proposed 125-foot T-Mobile cellular tower was postponed last week and will be rescheduled at a date to be announced. The proposed tower, which would be camouflaged as a conifer, would be installed near North Maple Avenue and the Ho-Ho-Kus border at the intersection of First Street and Barnett Place. Additional equipment would be located in the cellar of an adjacent house. The 125-foot tower would require a use variance, since electronic communications operations are not permitted in the R-2 residential zone and the B-2 business zone. A variance would also be required to allow the tower to exceed
The Ridgewood Police Department has reported the use of electronic technology to steal four cases of beer stored in a local garage. On March 10, a Heights Road resident reported that someone had entered his garage using his remote door opener. The only items reported missing were four cases of beer. The Ridgewood Detective Bureau is investigating
