Theodore Edwin “Ted” Bohlin of Glen Rock, formerly of Manchester Township, Westwood and River Vale, died March 7. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Before retiring, he was the executive vice president of Franklin and Smith Inc., electrical distributors. He served two years as president of the Bergen Electrical League. He was a life member of both the Ralph W Lester VFW Post #130 and of the Knights of Columbus #2188 Westwood. He was a former member of the River Vale Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his children Dennis Patrick Bohlin, DDS of Glen Rock, Steven Paul Bohlin of Plainfield, Illinois, Monsignor Thomas Gerard Bohlin of New York City, Theodore James Bohlin of Chicago, Illinois, Patricia Mary Pacious of McLean, Virginia, James Joseph Bohlin, Karen Elizabeth Bohlin, Ed.D. of Boston, Massachusetts, and Brian Robert Bohlin of River Vale. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Teresa Mary Bohlin (nee O’Neill). Arrangements were made by Becker Funeral Home in Westwood. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood, where she was active in the PTA, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, a Eucharistic minister, and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and served on the Salve Regina University Board of Directors in Newport, Rhode Island, where she received a Doctorate of Humane Letters. She was a member of Covenant House in New York. She is survived by her children Martin Jr., Robert, Therese Emond, Brian, Maureen Munroe, Betsy Tapp, Patricia Hefferon, Sean, Tara Callaghan, Neil Munroe, and Andrea DeSanctis; stepchildren Mary Mazzoni, Joe, Bill, Jack, Joan Schmarge, and Jean Hennelly; 34 grandchildren; and her siblings Mary Lou Sweeney and Frank Corbet. She was predeceased by her husbands Martin James Munroe and Joseph DeMayo, and her twin brother Robert Corbet. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Frederick L. Kopff III of Ridgewood died March 3. He was 67. He graduated from Washington and Jefferson College in Pennsylvania, where he bowled competitively and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He was the owner of Meta/Mat Ltd., a business consulting firm. He was a member of West Side Presbyterian Church in Ridgewood, where he served as an elder and on various committees. He was a member of The Hobbyists. He is survived by his wife Linda Kopff, his sons Derick Kopff of Guilderland, New York and Thomas Kopff of Ridgewood, five grandchildren, and his brothers Dr. Richard G. Kopff Jr. and Bob Kopff. He was predeceased by his parents Dr. Richard G. and Helen Virginia Kopff. Arrangements were made by C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Before retiring, she was an administrative assistant at Northeast Industries in Midland Park. She was a volunteer at The Depot in Midland Park, which is affiliated with Children’s Aid and Family Services. She is survived by her daughter Carol, and several cousins. Photographs in the collection include depictions of upscale life in New York City, notably at Central Park, the Jersey Shore, and locations in Ridgewood. The program, “The Mastins: A Ridgewood Family in 1898,” was written by Peggy Norris and featured readings by Norris and Suplicki with Bolger reading the words originally written by Emma Mastin. About 60 people attended and found the program an enjoyable trip back in time to Ridgewood of more than 100 years ago.
