KinderKickers players wanted Registration is now open for 2012 Fall KinderKickers, an introductory soccer program for Ridgewood boys and girls, ages four and five, who are in preschool and kindergarten. Coordinated by the Ridgewood Soccer Association, the program acquaints children with basic soccer skills while emphasizing the enjoyable aspects of the game. Weekly sessions introduce soccer-oriented games and teach basic soccer skills in a non-competitive environment. The program is led by professional trainers, who focus on having fun and promoting physical fitness. The program will be held on eight Saturdays beginning Sept. 8. Schedules with starting times will be posted on the Ridgewood Soccer Association website after Labor Day. The cost is $100 per player and includes an official team jersey and soccer ball. Attendees should wear shin guards, sneakers or cleats, which are available for purchase at most local sporting goods stores. Participants should also bring a water bottle to each session. Additional details and a link to the online registration site are available at www.ridgewoodsoccer.org.
