Books include a three-volume history of Ulysses S. Grant by Adam Badeau, six volumes of the “Brooklyn Eagle Almanac,” “The Kakiat Patent in Bergen County,” and the “Bergen County Historic Sites Survey for the Village of Ridgewood.” The work was done by Turul Bookbindery, a family-owned business located in Wharton. The bindery also donated the restoration work on Valentine’s 1862 “Manual of the Corporation of the City of New York,” a volume that includes color pull-out plates of New York City in the 1860s. The Genealogical Society of Bergen County had a grant to rebind the 11 volume “Documents Relating to the Colonial History of the State of New York,” and transcriptions of colonial documents from New York, Holland, England, and France. All of the books debuted at a book celebration held at the library last month.
