Vincent A. Borelli of Ridgewood died Jan. 5. He was 93. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He had been a teletype operator with the London Sun and the New York Herald Tribune. He is survived by his daughter Madelyn Reilly, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Theresa (nee Mazzocchi), his son Peter Borelli, and his granddaughter Caitlin Borelli. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Dolores “Lorry” Cancelmo, nee Shepperd, of Ridgewood died Jan. 7. She was 82. She had been the office manager at Radiology Associates of Ridgewood and Waldwick. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church in Ridgewood, and a volunteer for the Red Cross Thrift Shop for many years. She is survived by Sally Cancelmo and Mary Cancelmo, both of San Francisco, California, Ned and Mary Claire Cancelmo of Ridgewood, Andrew Cancelmo of Jupiter, Florida, Lucia Izzo of North Haledon, and John Cancelmo of Springfield, Massachusetts, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Edmund. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Box 943, 230 Diamond Spring Road, Denville, New Jersey 07834. John J. Conway Sr. of Midland Park, formerly of Ridgewood, died Jan. 10. He was 91. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of WWII, where he earned an Air Force Medal and four citations (oak leaves). He attended Power Memorial High School in New York City and the University of Nevada Army Air Force Flight Training. He served as a detective on the New York Police Department from 1947 to 1967. During this time, he earned the Medal of Valor with other various citations. After retirement, he worked on Wall Street at Smith Barney, and at Mahwah Honda. He is survived by his wife Gloria, his children John, Carol Pietrzak, and Gloria, two grandchildren, and his sister Joan Byrnes. He was predeceased by his parents James and Catherine, and his siblings James Conway, Catherine Costello and Eugene Conway. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. She is survived by her children Ralph Coti, Valerie Ferlauto, and Laura Garrett, six grandchildren, and her siblings Fil Magavero and Tecla Martemucci. She was predeceased by her husband Armand. Judith Cromwell, nee Sigler, of Cary, North Carolina, formerly of Ridgewood, died Jan. 7. She was 76. She was a 1953 graduate of Ridgewood High School, attended Beaver College, and graduated from Katherine Gibbs in New York City. She is survived by her children Lawrence, and Lori Aubry, both of Cary, North Carolina, and Charles of Wirtz, Virginia, eight grandchildren, and her brother Arnold Sigler of Ridgewood. Lena Osterholt, nee Klein, formerly of Oakland, Hawthorne, and Midland Park, died Jan. 6. She was 95. She was a homemaker and a former member of Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park. She is survived by her children John B. Osterholt of Ballston Lake, New York, and Doris Hohmann of Pompton Lakes, 14 grandchildren, 19 greatgrandchildren, and her brother Louis Klein of Boonton. She was predeceased by her husband John Osterholt, and her daughter Arlene Blom. Arrangements were made by the Olthuis Funeral Home in Midland Park. Providence Powers, nee Fucarino, of Allendale, formerly of Closter, died Jan. 8. She was 85. She worked as an executive secretary for Columbia Pictures in New York City, and for the Bergen County CYO in Paramus until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Church of the Guardian Angel in Allendale and a former member of Saint Mary’s R.C. Church in Closter where she served as a Eucharistic minister. She is survived by her children John J. Powers of Harrington Park, Regina Guarnaccia of Allendale, and Christine Smith of Waldwick, eight grandchildren, and her brother Joseph Fucarino of Ridgefield Park. She was predeceased by her husband John Joseph Power. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. She was a graduate of Douglass College. She was an active member in her church and the community. She had worked as a beautician at Irene’s Beauty Salon in Hawthorne, and for Curtiss-Wright Aeronautics in Wood-Ridge before leaving in 1956. She attended the Christian Health Care Adult Day Center in Wyckoff. She is survived by her daughter Bridget of Mahwah. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, and her siblings George, Cyril, Austin, and Raymond Baines and Olive Baines Sullivan. He was a member of Walnut Valley United Methodist Church of Blairstown. He is survived by his daughters Barbara Giambarrese of Midland Park, and Jo Ann Doll of Minneapolis, Minnesota, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his sisters Evelyn and Norma.
