Father William (Steve Little) is an eccentric young priest whose oddness has been driving away his already small flock of parishioners. When his superiors discover William
telling wildly inappropriate parables to his congregation, they force him to take a sabbatical to find himself. William tracks down his high school buddy Robert (Robert Longstreet) to accompany him on a canoe trip. William used to play keyboards for a Christian band and he always idolized Robbie for his heavy metal guitar skills. Robbie has no memory of William, but agrees to go on the trip just to stop the constant stream of pleading e-mails from the young priest. As William and Robbie head downstream, the jabbering William drives Robbie nuts. Things go from bad to truly weird when they get lost and seek help from two secretive Japanese girls and their silent African-American escort - referred to as, respectively, Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, and Jim. Special features include the short film “Sasquatch Birth Journal 2,” audio commentary with the director and actors, and outtakes.
