The members of Ridgewood’s Old Paramus Reformed Church’s Women’s Guild were recently installed at a can-

dlelight ceremony. OPRC Pastor Rev. Tom Marsden, who presided over the
ceremony, said, “In Old Paramus Reformed Church, we recognize the place and need for many kinds of service that call for willing dedication and faithful leadership. It is with joy and thanksgiving that we set apart for service in our congregation those who have been chosen and elected as officers of the Women’s Guild.” Past president Joan Miller (2007-11) then called forward six officers (left to right): Sally Brandes, president; Carol Beckmann, corresponding secretary; Avis Fleckenstein, program chairperson; Doris Blom, hospitality chairperson; Carol Mah, social service chairperson; and Ann Robin, publicity secretary. Previously installed were Treasurer Joan Schoeffel and Recording Secretary Judith Warnaar. Women’s Guild members are not required to be OPRC church members, and men and women from the surrounding community are welcome to attend any of the guild’s monthly programs, which feature informative speakers.
