Page 8 THE VILLADOM TIMES II • December 19, 2012 Ridgewood All Seasons Chamber Players appear at library by John Koster When violinist Robert Lawrence greeted the audience at the Ridgewood Library’s Belcher Auditorium last week, he said they were attending the 28th concert by the All Seasons Chamber Players in Ridgewood. “I think this is the 28th year the All Seasons Chamber Players have been coming to Ridgewood, and we’re looking forward to many more years,” Lawrence said. The theme of the concert was “Myth, Legend, and Folklore.” After the performance by Lawrence, cellist E. Zoe Hassman, pianist Jacqueline Schiller-Audi, and flutist Brenda Sakofsky, the appreciative audience was also looking forward to many happy returns. The All Seasons Chamber Players took the informed audience on a tour of the periphery of Germany and Austria for a listen to chamber music specialists outside Germany. Anton Dvorak, a proud Czech nationalist best known in the United States for the “New World Symphony” with its American Indian and African-American influences, was also the author of the “Dumky” Trio in E Minor. Lawrence, (continued on page 20) Brenda Sakofsky, Jacqueline Schiller-Audi, E. Zoe Hassman, and Robert Lawrence of the All Seasons Chamber Players receive applause at the Ridgewood Library.
