John L. Bosnich of Upper Saddle River, formerly of Virginia Beach and Hasbrouck Heights, died Nov. 26. He was 90. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He worked at Standard Brands Planters Peanuts in Hoboken and Virginia Beach as a mechanical manager for 45 years. He was a parishioner of Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. He was a member the VFW, Order of the Moose, Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Name Society. He was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He is survived by his children Janice Rankin of Arizona, Valerie C. Wild of Upper Saddle River, and Elizabeth McElhaney of Illinois, eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Marie, and his siblings Frank Bosnich and Frances Bosnich. Arrangements were made by Feeny Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Carmela “Millie” Colacchio, nee D’Esposito, of Hanover, New Hampshire, formerly of Mahwah, died Nov. 21. She was 88. She was a member of the Third Order of Mount Carmel. She is survived by her husband Dominic Colacchio, her children Barbara Anne Comiskey, Thomas Colacchio, Donald Colacchio, and Michael Colacchio,

Before retiring, she was employed as a bookkeeper for several area real estate companies. She is survived by her sister Helen Wisbauer, her nephews James and David Wisbauer, eight great-nieces and nephews, and seven great, great-nieces and nephews. John Austen Snyder of Wyckoff, formerly of Ridgewood, died Nov. 18. He was 79. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He attended Ridgewood High School. He graduated from Princeton University in 1955, and was a member of Tower Club. He was a parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church, where he served on the vestry and as warden. Before retiring, he was senior vice president of human resources at The Bank of New York, and then worked for the pension fund of the Episcopal Church in New York City. of the honorary board of Children’s Aid and Family Services from 1995 until his death. He was a member of the Somerville Award Committee of the Ridgewood Public Schools, a trustee of the Ridgewood Education Foundation, and a leader in the restoration of Van Neste Park in Ridgewood. He was a member of the Ridgewood A.M. Rotary. He is survived by his children Susan S. Austin of Saint Paul, Minnesota and Ann S. Mooradian of Severna Park, Maryland, three granddaughters, and his sister Virginia Bartholomew of Huntington, New York. He was predeceased by his wife Sara Bruce Snyder. Sara Bruce Snyder of Wyckoff, formerly of Ridgewood, died Nov. 6. She was 77. She attended the Milwaukee Downer Seminary, and then graduated from the Woodstock Country School in Woodstock, Vermont. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1957, and trained at Bank Street College of Education in New York City. Before starting her family, she taught at the Bank Street School for Children. She was a member of the College Club of Ridgewood and the Wellesley College Alumnae Club. She was a parishioner of Christ Episcopal Church, and served on several committees of the Episcopal Diocese of Newark. She is survived by her children Susan S. Austin of Saint Paul, Minnesota and Ann S. Mooradian of Severna Park, Maryland, three granddaughters, and her brothers Dr. Calvin Bruce of Madison, Wisconsin and Jackson Bruce of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her husband John Austen Snyder died on Nov. 18. Arie Stout of Hillsdale, formerly of HoHo-Kus, died Nov. 24. He was 90. Born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he came to the United States in 1954. Before retiring in 1978, he was a tool and die maker for the
Ford Motor Company in Mahwah for 20 years. He later worked for General Motors and other small machine shops. He was a member of the Faith Reformed Church in Midland Park. He is survived by his wife Frances (nee Waterdrinker), his children Arthur Stout of Goleta, California, Steve Stout of North Haledon, and Karen Bade of Hillsdale, eight grandchildren, and his brother Finis. Vanderveer of Marathon, Florida, William E. Vanderveer of Daytona Beach, Florida, Lynne C. Brentnall of Palm City, Florida, Joy E. Funk of Ocean City, and Penny L.
