Charlie Jackson, a missionary stationed in Ghana, recently visited the Ridgewood United Methodist Church. Jackson and his wife, Mary Kay, who are both engineers, have served in partnership with the Methodist Church Ghana since 2006. Charlie is assistant professor of arts and sciences at Ashesi University, while Mary Kay works with Methodist Development Relief Services and Pure Home Water, two charitable organizations that focus on bringing potable water to the rural poor in

Ghana. Both are active in prayer and Bible Study groups in Accra. The couple’s sons, Chip and Ken, who spent their teenage years in Ghana, are involved in campus ministries as they attend universities in the United States. The congregation of the Ridgewood United Methodist Church has helped support the work of the Jackson family for several years, contributing money toward several water projects in rural Ghana.
