Malone has been promoted to vice president, SBA lending officer in charge of the bank’s Small Business Administration loan portfolio, while Joseph A. Barone has been promoted to vice president, commercial lending officer. Prior to joining Columbia in 2006 as a commercial lender, Barone served in a similar position at Sovereign Bank. Barone is a member of the North Jersey Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Garden State Credit Association, and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. Barone graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in economics and earned an MBA in finance from Rutgers University. He resides in Wayne. Malone joined Columbia Bank in 1998 Malone, Barone are Columbia’s newest vice presidents as an investor accountant and has held a number of positions within the bank’s Commercial Lending Department. In 2002, she was promoted to Small Business Administration loan officer. Malone is an active member of the North Jersey Chamber of Commerce and the Paterson Rotary Club. She also volunteers her time as a children’s mentor and is a coordinator for the MOBC Mock Trial Program which teaches the legal and investigative process to Bergen County youth. Malone is a graduate of Ramapo College, where she received bachelor’s degrees in political science and international studies. She resides in Hackensack.
