Andrew Matteo, principal of the Central School in Glen Rock, will depart July 1 and will take over as principal of the Dater School in Ramsey in September. Matteo attended school in Ramsey as a child. Principal of the Central School since 2010, Matteo had come to Glen Rock in 2003 as an elementary school teacher of the third and fourth grades at the district’s Coleman School. He also taught second

grade at the Central School before being appointed principal. He also coached boys’ soccer at Glen Rock High School. An internal search committee comprised of school staff and Home & School Association members will begin the process of locating a replacement immediately, school officials said.
