September 19, 2012 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • Page 7 Wyckoff The Public Service Gas and Electric project now under way on Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff from Woodfield Road to the border of Franklin Lakes may continue beyond the end of September. Motorists are advised to continue making detours around the road work. Franklin Avenue delays may continue another month PSE&G will perform the work from 1 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with no work expected on Saturdays, Sundays, or evenings. Franklin Avenue will be open to traffic during the construction, with police directing traffic, but motorists are urged to seek alternate routes or to anticipate delays and allow extra travel time. The construction work is being done to replace the gas main transmission line on part of Franklin Avenue and to connect some houses along the route. Wyckoff residents have also previously been advised that Brookside Avenue in Allendale will be completely closed to through traffic for the next eight months and that commuter detours are mandatory. All Wyckoff locations will remain accessible, but the use of Brookside Avenue as a commuter route will not be possible until April of 2013 unless the reconstruction of the Brookside Avenue Bridge in Allendale is completed ahead of schedule.
