Baseline Associates presented its proposal for a commercial/residential complex on Franklin Avenue at a special meeting of the Midland Park Board of Adjustment last week. The nearly one-acre property is zoned for business use and abuts a residential zone. Ridgewood developer Mark Infante, who also owns the professional building at 600 Godwin Ave., proposes to build two nearly identical commercial buildings with apartments on the second floor at 199-207 Franklin Ave. The two existing lots would be merged into one, and the previous bank building still on the property would be demolished. and is only 2.6 ft. off the sidewalk, would be renovated to match the new construction, including a pitched roof and wood shakes. The proposal calls for two, two-and-a-half story buildings separated by a driveway. The first floor of each building would have three commercial units and garage (continued on page 31)
