November 14, 2012 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • Page 11 Area The opening reception of the Ridgewood Art Institute’s Annual Holiday Art Show and Sale will be held on Sunday, Nov. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 12 East Glen Avenue in Ridgewood. The exhibit will continue through Dec. 19. The Holiday Art Show & Sale features traditional artwork submitted by the professional and amateur members of the Ridgewood Art Institute. The institute, which was established in 1935, continues to maintain the highest standards of excellence in fine art through its classes, exhibitions, lectures, and demonstrations, all of which are available to the public. Gallery hours for the holiday show are 11a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of paintings will be donated to Community Meals Inc., the private, non-profit “meals on wheels” volunteer-based organization serving clients in Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Midland Park, Ho-Ho-Kus, Waldwick, Allendale, and part of Saddle River. CMI’s mission is to provide nutritious meals to individuals who are unable to shop or cook for themselves due to age or disability.
