Ruth B. Borgeson, nee Buntemeyer, of Wyckoff died Oct. 30. She was 86. She attended Hackensack High School, and Maryland College for Women. She was a member of the Wyckoff Woman’s Club, the Valley Hospital Auxiliary, the Upper Montclair Country Club, and Wyckoff Reformed Church. She is survived by her husband Bruce Borgeson, her children Roy Borgeson of Wyckoff and Judith Louzan of New City, New York, five grandchildren, her sister Joan White of Westport, Connecticut, and four nieces. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Joanne Conyngham, nee D’Alessandro, of Wyckoff died Oct. 26. She was 82. She was a graduate of Manhattanville College, and attended Juilliard School of Music. She was a professional actress and singer for the Karamu Theater, and Cleveland Play House in Cleveland, Ohio, where she appeared with Dom DeLuise. After moving to Wyckoff, she became a voice and piano instructor. In 1974, she and her husband helped found OnStage, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that continues to produce summer theater programs for high school and college students. She is survived by her children Leigh Anne Brodsky, Peggy Seisz, Nick, Sean, Kevin, and Brian, and 11 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Richard. Thomas J. Howlett of Wyckoff died Oct. 31. He was 90. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Before retiring in 1980, he was chemist at Diamond Shamrock for 36 years. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, and a member of Joseph F. Lamb Assembly #665 in Ridgewood. He was a parishioner of Saint Elizabeth R.C. Church in Wyckoff. He served as treasurer for the Holy Name Society in Bogota. He is survived by his wife Marion (nee: Walsh), his children Thomas E. Howlett of Maywood, Michael G. Howlett of Wyckoff, Vincent J. Howlett of Wyckoff, Marie E. Howlett of Franklin Lakes, three grandchildren, and his siblings Mae Chrisenowski, Eileen Bordt, and William Howlett. He was predeceased by his son Jack. Arrangements were made by Feeney Funeral Home in Ridgewood. Rosalyce “Missy” H. Monks, nee Costa, of Saddle River, formerly of Ridgewood, died Oct. 26. She was 72. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama. She volunteered at Saint Patrick’s School in Jersey City, and was a member of the Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. She is survived by her husband James J. Monks, M.D., her children Elizabeth McCormack, James Monks Jr., Tony Monks, Michael Monks, Joseph Monks, Robert Monks, Frank Monks, Alyssa Monks, and 10 grandchildren, and her siblings Frank Costa and Robin Costa. She was predeceased by her parents Frank Costa, D.D.S. and Hazel. Arrangements were made by Vander Plaat Funeral Home in Wyckoff. Barbara Lou Schubert of Ridgewood died Oct. 18. She was a member of the Ridgewood Country Club. She is survived by her children Charles Warren Corbishley of Rochester, New York and Annie Lange of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, her stepson Geoffrey Schubert, and 11 grandchildren. He was the founder of Van Beuzekom, Inc., from which he retired in 1983. He was a builder and a home remodeler. He was a Certified Kitchen Designer and a former member of the Kitchen and Bath Association. He was also a past president of the Hawthorne Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife Henrietta, his children Joyce Ann McGeechan of Gainesville, Virginia, Fred Van Beuzekom of Waldwick, and Hank Van Beuzekom of Ringoes, seven grandchildren, and five greatgrandchildren. Church in Allendale, and Saint Dennis R.C. Church in Manasquan. She is survived by her children Jeanne Kreutzer of Sea Girt, Susan Greimel of Allendale, and Stephen of Ho-Ho-Kus, 10 grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, and her sisters Violet of Norwood, Massachusetts and Dorothy of Dedham, Massachusetts.
