Addresses must be clearly marked The Franklin Lakes Police Department reminds borough residents and business owners that they are required to have address numbers that are clearly displayed and visible from the roadway. This public safety measure helps to ensure the borough’s police, fire, and ambulance services can accurately identify buildings, and increase response time in the event of an emergency. Numbers should be posted on or adjacent to the doorway on the side of the building facing the road, or adjacent to the driveway, such as on a mailbox. Free music downloads available Franklin Lakes Public Library has joined Freegal to offer access to songs from Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists. Freegal will allow the Franklin Lakes Library to increase the size and diversity of its collection by offering access to hundreds of thousands of songs. Under the terms of the agreement, registered cardholders of the Franklin Lakes Public Library may download a select number of Sony Music tracks in the MP3 format each month at no direct cost via www.franklinlakeslibrary.org. The library will underwrite the purchase of the music. For additional information, call (201) 891-2224.
