Changes in the collection schedules will start in 2013.
The FLOW Follies performance of ‘Come FLOW with Me,’ included a fresh offering for area senior citizens: Matinee and Munchies. This was the 26th annual variety show performed by FLOW Follies, a group of volunteers whose goal is to raise scholarship monies for graduating seniors from the Ramapo and Indian Hills high schools. For $8, Bergen County seniors were treated to a lunch provided by local merchants, served by members of RIH’s Interact Club, and coordinated by Sue Valenta, a Friend of FLOW Follies parent volunteer. After lunch, nearly 100 senior residents and local municipal officials, enjoyed a lively matinee. While all of the proceeds from ticket sales, fundraisers, community dinner nights, refreshments, and Friends of FLOW Follies memberships have not been tallied, event organizers report that close to $45,000 has been raised this year. Funds will support graduating seniors at both Ramapo and Indian Hills. Kneeling: Students from the Interact Club who participated in Matinee and Munchies. Back row: Carla Pappalardo, executive producer, 2011-2012 FLOW Follies; Christopher DePhillips, mayor of Wyckoff; Linda Schwager, mayor of Oakland; Brian Scanlan, Wyckoff Township Committee member; Sandra Coira, Oakland Council member; and Susan Valenta.
Good show!
