Police seek public’s assistance to solve crime
On Dec. 6, 2011 at approximately 9 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Gamestop store located at the Franklin Crossing Shopping Center on Franklin Avenue in Franklin Lakes. Police are now seeking the public’s assistance in solving this crime. According to police, two unknown suspects entered the store at closing time. One suspect was brandishing a silver or gray colored handgun and threatened the two employees who were in the process of closing the store. Both employees were forced into the bathroom and restrained with duct tape. Four game systems and cash were stolen. Suspect #1 is described as a white or Hispanic male in his late twenties or early thirties with a heavy build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and had a brown scarf over his face. Suspect #2 is described as a white male in his late teens or early twenties in age with a thin build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The Franklin Lakes Police Department asks that anyone who may be able to identify the individuals depicted in these photographs or can provide any pertinent information regarding this crime, call the Franklin Lakes Police Department Detective Bureau at (201) 891-3131.

Thomas was named to Paula Lein’s unexpired term on the board in July of 2011. Born and raised in Midland Park, Thomas graduated from Midland Park High School in 1983. He received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Delaware in 1987. He has worked on Wall Street for the past 24 years, and is currently a vice president and compliance officer at J.P. Morgan Chase. Thomas and his wife, Laura, have been married for 21 years. They have lived in town since 1996, and have three children: Jake, 15; Kayla, 13; and Josie, 10. He has been active in the borough’s many recreation and travel sports programs, and has

coached football, basketball, baseball, softball, and soccer. He and his wife are founding members of the Midland Park Education Foundation and are avid supporters of the public schools. Triolo was born and raised in northern New Jersey. A 1986 student-athlete graduate of Bergen Catholic High School, he holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Triolo worked as vice president of sales for a local company for 14 years. In 2010, he successfully launched his own consulting business in the automotive industry, Specialty Accessory Consulting. The candidate has resided in Midland Park for 13 years with his wife, Jennifer, and their two elementary school-aged children. He coaches soccer and softball in the town recreation programs, and enjoys the friendly competition of neighborhood cook-offs.
