Carnival coming to town The Lions Clubs from Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes will host a carnival at McBride Field in Franklin Lakes July 11 through 15. The event will feature rides, games, food, contests, and prizes. The presale of tickets for the amusements may be purchased at half-price through July 10 at the following locations: Cartridge World, 830 Franklin Avenue, Franklin Lakes; Columbia Bank, 60 Godwin Avenue, Midland Park; and Tons of Toys, 315 Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff. Carnival hours will be 6 to 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, July 11 and 12; 6 to 11 p.m. on Friday, July 13; 3 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, July14; and 3 to 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 15. McBride Field is located on Franklin Lake Road, across from the Market Basket in Franklin Lakes. All proceeds from the event will benefit these two local clubs. Audition for ‘Suor Angelica’ Wyckoff Family Y’s professional opera company, Opera 691, is now accepting resume packages for its upcoming live audition at the Wyckoff Family YMCA, 691 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff. Auditions for “Suor Angelica” will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 1. All roles are open and an accompanist is provided. Additional rehearsals will be announced throughout the summer for Sunday evenings. The production will be fully staged and costumed. The performance will be held Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. While live auditions are recommended, mp3, or YouTube submissions will be accepted for those who may not be able to attend. E-mail stage director at Mireeg@aol.com. YMCA plans Golf Outing The Ridgewood YMCA’s 39th Annual Golf Outing will be held Monday, Sept. 24 at the Knickerbocker Country Club in Tenafly. Proceeds from the event will support the YMCA’s Good Works Programs. The event, which begins at 9:30 a.m., will feature a day of golf, cocktails, and dinner. The day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast. The shotgun start will be at 11 a.m. The dinner, scheduled for 6 p.m., will include awards, prize announcements, and an auction. The Ridgewood YMCA Good Works Programs address the needs of the community, striving to turn no one away, regardless of their ability to pay. A group of Atlantic Stewardship Bank employees once again participated in the Paterson Habitat for Humanity Annual Corporate Challenge. During the two-week event, area corporations send employees to the Paterson worksite to assist with the construction. During the daily lunch provided by Habitat, volunteers, incoming families, and Habitat staff share their stories. Atlantic Stewardship Bank sent a crew of approximately 20 associates from all areas of the bank to this year’s event.
