Program to have magical launch On June 19, magician Mark Zacharia will launch “Dream Big,” the Midland Park Library’s summer reading program. Children are invited to the library for this 4 p.m. show and to sign up for “Dream Big.” Registration is required, and may be completed in the children’s room. Summer Story Time scheduled Registration for the Midland Park Public Library’s Summer Story Time will take place in the children’s room at the library July 2 through 6. Story times will include stories, music, and crafts. Two-year-old children who are accom- panied by an adult are invited to attend on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. from July 11 through Aug. 8. Children ages three through five may participate on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. from July 12 through Aug. 9. The library is located at 250 Godwin Avenue. Auxiliary to host dinner meeting American Legion Auxiliary Unit 130 of Midland Park will meet June 13 at 7:30 p.m. This meeting will be held a local restaurant and will wind up the club’s season for the summer. Graduation Ball benefit set The Midland Park High School Graduation Ball 2013 Committee will host a prize basket fundraiser on Saturday, June 16. The benefit will be held at the high school, 250 Prospect Street in Midland Park. The doors will open at 6.30 p.m. and prizes will be awarded beginning at 8 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the high school’s annual after graduation party. Children’s programs available Midland Park Continuing Education will host a variety of programs for children this summer. Kindergarten Readiness will be held July 10 through Aug. 2. Children in kindergarten through grade three are invited to participate in the Computer Club for Kids. The program will be held from July 10 to Aug. 2. A six-session volleyball camp for girls will be held July 10 to 19. This program is open to girls in grades six through eight. The All Star Aviators Camp will be held July 30 through Aug. 3. Children in kindergarten through grade five are welcome to participate. Learn magic at Hocus Pocus Magic Camp, July 30 through Aug. 3. This program is for children in kindergarten through grade five. Children in kindergarten through grade eight may attend Golf Camp, which will be offered in two sections: June 25 through 29 or Aug. 6 through 10. Tennis Camp, for children in kindergarten through grade six, will be held July 9 through 13 or July 23 through 27. The New York Giants Football Camp is for children ages six through 14. Children will learn non-contact football skills during this program, which is set for July 16 through 20. Young fashion designers age eight through 13 years old may attend the Design Diva Sewing Camp from Aug. 13 to 17. Beginning July 12, Electric Foil Fencing Camp will be offered to children ages nine through 12. Students must have their own equipment.
