January 18, 2012 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • Page 17 The Midland Park Public School District is accepting applications for the Integrated High Quality Preschool Program for the 2012-2013 school year. Ten openings are now available for the next session beginning in September. The program, located at Godwin School, is in its first year of operation. To be eligible, children must be three years of age on or before October 1, 2012. The closing date for all applications is February 1, 2012. The tuition cost, estimated to be $2,700, will be finalized by June 1. A birth certificate and a copy of immunizations will be required of those students admitted to the program. Children in the preschool program will attend five half-day morning sessions or five half-day afternoon sessions. Current students will have priority for program registration, but parents cannot Pre-K applications accepted select the specific session (a.m. or p.m.) that they would like their child to attend. The primary program objective is to provide typically-developing three and four year olds an opportunity to participate with peers in kindergarten readiness activities. Following the state-approved Creative Curriculum program, the preschool will offer academic skill development, social growth, and language development in a school setting.
