Page 12 THE VILLADOM TIMES I • January 18, 2012 After several years without substantial change in council committee assignments, Midland Park Mayor Patrick “Bud” O’Hagan appointed the following liaison committees for 2012 (first name noted is the chairman): Finance - Councilman Michael Junta and Councilman Nick Papapietro Public Safety, Police - Councilman Papapietro and Councilman Scott Pruiksma Public Safety, Fire/Ambulance – New council person and Councilwoman Nancy Peet Public Works - Councilman Bernard Holst and Councilman Junta Personnel – Councilwoman Peet and Councilman Holst Recreation - Councilman Pruiksma and new council member Board of Education Liaison - Councilwoman Peet Board of Health Liaison – Councilman Papapietro Municipal Alliance Liaison – New council member Community Development – Mayor Patrick O’Hagan and Councilman Pruiksma. DPW Foreman Rudy Gnehm will serve as the Recycling Coordinator. Mayor O’Hagan will continue as the borough’s representative to the Joint Insurance Fund, a cooperative venture with Changes made in council committee assignments other municipalities which manages the town’s insurance policies. He is also a commissioner of the JIF’s executive board. Councilwoman Peet will continue as the council’s representative on the planning board. The council is presently short one member due to Mayor O’Hagan’s resignation from the council to assume the mayor’s post. The council approved several resident appointments to standing committees (expiration year in parenthesis). Planning board – David Wostbrock (12/31/15). Board of Adjustment – Linda Herlihy (12/31/15), Richard Formicola (12/31/15); James DeLuca, alternate No. 1 (12/31/13); Dan Brennan, alternate No. 2 (12/31/12). Board of Recreation – Robert Sansone (12/31/14), Vincent Piscitello (12/31/14) and Jerry Iannone (12/31/13). Library Board – Mayor O’Hagan and Patricia Hegadorn (12/31/15). Municipal Alliance Committee – (all one year appointments): Chairman, Ann Polhemus; Mayor O’Hagan, Craig Rush, Susan Aponte, Police Chief John Casson, Maryalice Hagerty, Jane Burke, Sgt. Greg Kasbarian, Diane Moe, Recreation Director Kathy LaMonte and Lori Palladino.
